Silage Film

The film is available in several colors, most commonly black, white, and green. Each color has its own functional benefit: black film provides maximum light blockage, white reflects sunlight to prevent overheating of the silage, and green serves as a balanced option that combines aesthetics with functionality. In recent years, environmentally conscious manufacturers have also introduced recyclable and biodegradable versions of silage film to address growing concerns about plastic waste in agriculture. The use of silage film offers numerous benefits to farmers and livestock producers. It significantly reduces feed spoilage, helping to lower operational costs by minimizing waste. It also ensures that the feed maintains its nutritional integrity, which is essential for the health and productivity of the animals. Silage film is compatible with most modern wrapping and baling machines, making it easy to apply and integrate into standard farming practices. In terms of specifications, silage film typically ranges in thickness from 20 to 30 microns and comes in standard widths of 500 mm or 750 mm. Rolls are usually between 1500 and 1800 meters in length, providing ample material for large-scale operations. The film is designed to stretch up to 70%, allowing it to cover bales efficiently without tearing. Its built-in UV protection generally lasts between 12 and 18 months, depending on the environmental conditions and film quality.
